Yep, I went solo for trading rare goods

It's an assumed connection - the traders could simply be 100 LY away from major population centres effectively playing solo in open. Frontier have the statistics - and they're not telling.

System traffic report is not telling?

Ah. Eravate. That's probably why. I'd suggest heading toward Sol if you want to find more player traders, especially rare commodities ports. Much better piracy to be had there.

where do you trade in Sol? I've been to Mgorby last night and all they sold was biowaste, like a Tourism world. Completely different from Sol Trading in FE2. And the demand certainly was not high enough to justify 1 way cargo trips.

Also, only 4 billion people in the entire Sol system? Half of what Earth has TODAY?

I don't. I pirate. There is plenty of movement around the various rare suppliers. They're the main targets. Same as pirating up near Lave.

Which ships are you assuming to be traders?
Everything that isn't an eagle or a viper. With cobras and asps, maybe half are trading.

Type 6 are fairly common now, yet I Never see any on open play.
Again, I see plenty...

Is there a list of these rare suppliers. If eravate is a rookie zone, well, I want to leave and go find these big fish hauling these rare items.

.... and now you propose that Frontier remove a game feature that has been part of the stated game design since the beginning of the Kickstarter.

To this I can only say... wasn't offline single player a feature that was part of the stated game design since the beginning of the kickstarter or was that just a promised feature that was stripped out?

if you steal rare goods somewhere they are, won't this result in you getting almost no money for them unless you fly them 120 LY away, you know.. like a trader?

Cobras? Asps?

is an Asp with a class 6 shield generator and 6 guns a trader?

Yes, some of them are. No telling how many.

Yeah, you might as well steal bauxite unless you are going to fly a long way with it.....
