I feel about Epic about the same as about Steam: I'd rather frequent neither; that makes the little T-rex slapfight between their fanbases quite amusing.
Casually calling Medium a "news outlet" is not something you should do and hope to retain credibility ;-)
(edit) Oh god it gets bad for real; Amazon not being profitable for putting the customer first? Amazon was extremely profitable for most of its life, but they invested any profit back into the company, much to the chagrin of stakeholders who saw no payout. Little secret: Jeff Bezos is not a nice person, he played a strategic long game for world domination, not for respect, and it only seems "weird" today in light of the common Silicon Valley unicorn whose only purpose in life is to suck up as much venture capital as possible before having a way overvalued IPO, buyout, or catastrophic bankruptcy with its founders facing anything from harsh settlements to hard time.
