Yet another "Will my current set-up run E:D?"

Hey

So, just wondering if my PC current set-up needs updating, would appreciate any advice :p

CPU - i5-3570K
M/B - Asus P8Z77-V
Mem - 16GB DDR3 2133MHz
GPU - XFX HD 6870 900MHz 1GB GDDR5
HDD - M4 SSD SATA-III (primary) & 2 500gb+ HDDs

Would ideally like to run at normal/high settings as close to 60fps (1920x1200) as possible.

I know the official specs haven't been released yet, but need to start giving an upgrade some thought so I know what to save up.

Thanks

Well if the motherboard the one I think. you might be able to buy the same type graphics card and set it in crossfire mode. But that depends if the game will work with dual graphics cards.

Looking at your system, makes me realise how old mine is!

Never mind. When you see that slow coach, cruising along at sub light, with a cargo of melons, don't forget to wave.

And remember, tortoise and hare. (Or whatever other vapid shibboleth I can think of

While the subject is live, is anyone up for a discussion thread on our relative systems, any suggestions as to how we might improve them and perhaps a general thread on computers?

Seems a good time, given we're about to jointly launch what will probably be the biggest thing to hit the net since the firewall.

If i were you i would wait till i buy new replacements at lest till beta 2 or gama. But with 1090x1050/1080 you should be be fine on low if the game is GPU intensive.

I'd really expect it to. The only thing you don't have is 2gb gpu ram (which was an Alpha requirement) - but I'm guessing that shouldn't be an issue because the card is streets a head of the test gpu and uses gddr5.

thats a pretty decent spec PC me thinks ;) nice cpu :)
