You can now find/claim the key you need to install ED under Oculus Home in your
account settings at https://www.frontierstore.net/customer/account/

Its under Partner Keys in the account dashboard.

Thanks callezetter, as soon as I get the 1.3 runtime (hopefully in a few hours) this'll give me my first look at Oculus Home launching something (as I still have a DK2 for a few weeks longer, fingers crossed!).

The key is only needed if you want to have oculus home start Elite Dangerous, otherwise who cares. You can still start Elite whichever way you want and it will work. Regular/Steam or Oculus Home. The key is just to associate Elite with Oculus home.

If you want a seamless integration of Elite Dangerous with you other VR games in your Rift its the way to go.

'seamless integration' what does that mean? It was working fine in 0.5 in extended mode.

I guess he means switching between games etc without having to look at your desktop to launch titles? My limited understanding of Home is that it allows you to do everything whilst inside the HMD.

It's available now.

However, I don't see any way to associate the key with Oculus Home. There's no option to do it... just to buy it (at $59.99)

You can redeem the code in the settings menu (gear icon)

You could just copy bindings file from one install to the other. Just search for .bindings files, sort them by date modified, store the latest one somewhere safe and after re-install copy it to corresponding folder in the new location.
