You don't have Vintage rides in the scenario editor & it screws up our scenario challenges

Please add all the Vintage stuff to the research tree of the scenario editor. It is extremely difficult to balance test this stuff as one person plays with Vintage available and it makes the scenario too easy, and one person plays with it off, and the same scenario can become impossible.

Why? Because all a Vintage person has to do is research the Venetian Carousal then suddenly ALL the rides from the entire expansion pack show up. I'm trying to make scenarios where research is trickle fed, but in the end all available. If you don't do this I'm going to have to make multiple versions of every single scenario to make it work which will be annoying.

Also, Vintage stuff has broken the difficulty and challenged for all other scenarios I've downloaded. :(

Thanks.

Actually, we need this done for all the expansion packs. The Studios Pack is the same way and I'm sure all the others are as well.

I've been going back through the in-game scenarios, and all the vintage rides and coasters are available. Pretty much makes research pointless, which is a shame [sad]

Hopefully they add it in sometime soon, since as somebody who's got the vintage pack since it came out, I had to put a limit on myself not to use the rides that come with it so I get a fair experience with researching rides and such.

I can see one reason why they haven't implemented that and that is related to the fact that DLC is paid-for content.

Some will not be happy if they can't use content they have paid for in a scenario etc.

It is really not same thing. You can use the paid-for content in sandbox if you want them freely.

I equal the DLC with the expansion packs. you would not want the expansion packs to get free card, right?

And if still an issue, this could be solved by setting in the settings... Or load a save from the scenario to the editor and edit it yourself to include. Too easy.

Just one guess: Vintage is considered to be "old" stuff from the first days of theme parks so why should it be researched, when it is considered to be there for yeeeeears. [big grin] Maybe that is the reason why it is not in research, maybe it is wanted to be like that. Could be wrong, though [big grin]

the ENTIRE GAME is a DLC paid for "content"... does that mean I should be able to build every ride in every scenario without researching?? wheres the logic in that... well I guess because the financial system in the game is so irrelevant it doesnt matter anyway, its just like any other "pay to play" game, no need to unlock anything just pay for it to be unlocked, right? maybe they could also start charging new players to unlock all the scenarios too, hey it would make frontier more money right?

Some will not be happy if they can't use content they have paid for in a scenario etc.
the people who play scenarios want it to be balanced, those who buy the cosmetic DLCs will probably do so for sandbox mode [down] clearly the devs care not for balancing the scenarios and are in fact continuing to make the game less and less balanced for scenario players... and since this also effects the scenario editor and custom scenarios, its basially frontiers way of saying "we dont care about scenarios or balancing management" which is just one more reason why the DLCs are a joke IMO and I refuse to buy any of them, I wont support this game unless it starts focusing on more than just construction and sandbox playstyles

its obvious IMO that these DLCs do not draw in new players they only appeal to the hardcore fans, which doesnt make any sense why the devs would want to prevent themselves from gaining more players... they basically cut out any fans of management with their attempt at making "cosmetic only DLCs" right now Planco has no real competition so they can get away with this crap easier, but in a few years from now were going to compare this game to newer ones and be like ❤︎❤︎❤︎❤︎ we got fooled hard with the whole "rctW debacle"

Then what is the primary concern for their game? For those of us that don't like "decorating", this game is severely lacking.

You mentioned it ;) The main goal is to create amazing looking parks. So this "game" is only for those who are willing to spent hundreds of hours in creating the perfect illusion (and they are great in doing so). For all other players, especially those who want to play a game and actually manage a park: move along, unfortunately nothing major to see here [wink]

but the creators are happy about every new DLC (which offer great new items crafted by one of the most talented developers/designers/creators/engineers, don't get me wrong) and until that does not change we will see the millionth DLC with new content. May be Planet Coaster 2 will do better [cool]

Please can we not state opinions about Frontier's thoughts as facts please, unless you can provide evidence that this is the case. Also can we be respectful to all types of players, Scenario, Challenge or Sandbox.

I use the past to prove my point. Everything that happened in the past are facts. All past DLCs were about content. All features that were added to the management part of the game were sadly superficial. But i won't get into details here as it has been pointed out many times by me or others. Frontier acknowledged that in the Thread "A Community divided..." but soon after that they released the Vintage Pack with no further official communication on the pressing matter.
All I'm saying is that Planet Coaster is beautiful piece of Art were you can create amazing Parks when you are willing to spend hundreds of hours. But it is not a game to thoroughly manage a theme park.
