You ever just get REALLY angry?

Hey everybody, just minutes ago I was flying my Vulture in the BV Phoenicis nav beacon, and I do have a 400,000+ bounty on my head in two independent systems. Thus, the boutny hunters began to open fire on me, and I only have 2 PAs, no weapons to hit nimble little fighters. As a consequence, an Eagle NPC brought me down to 50%, and I'm still fuming. Now, I know, I have the wrong weapons for that fight, but my problem was the lack of police response.

It's the NAV BEACON of a quite densely populated system. It is the SOLE jump-in point of the NPCs into the system, and so it makes no sense that it takes more than thirty seconds for any police to arrive. Honestly, it makes no sense that the police weren't patrolling in the first place. Nav Beacons are not places for player pirates to go, ever, simply due to the bounty hunter presence there, but shouldn't the police stop all of the action at all times? Bounty hunting isn't a lawful activity, the police need to be there to stop bounty hunters as well as pirates, and to keep the peace, morality isn't the main priority.

Just venting.

Yes.

As for Valethar and Akira, like hell it is. My bounties are from systems over 200 Ly away each. Bounty hunting is about breaking the law to arrest (or in this case, kill) a criminal who's hiding in another jurisdiction, when it's outside of the jurisdiction the victim accrued the bounty in. It's not legal to apprehend a criminal charged in America with serial murder in Mexico.

I've seen wood be bountie hunters get smoked by the fuzz quite often in both RES and NAV beacons. It's extra funny when a authority Anaconda is about.

They won't jump in in responce to a reported crime though, they need to be there already, and close enough to notice the wanted offender. They should be able to responce to reported crimes from a much greater distance, and jump in ships as happen in interdictions as well.

Do you mean when the BH is using a KWS? I wouldn't go for a bounty in a jurisdiction he wasn't wanted. Wouldn't have scanned them in the first place.

I always use KWS before taking out a bounty, but if the target is clean in that system..I will get a fine when I start shooting. This is why it's safer to collect bounties in Anarchy systems.

edit - and I don't care where the crimes were committed when chasing down a bounty :D

I do get angry. I have just spent 40 minutes trying to find ONE uss in TWO systems (empty ones, no planets) in order to kill two bounty hunters to acomplish a mission. I gave up after being expelled from the game with a connection error message.

So yes, sometimes I get a little angry

In Anarchy systems everyone is "Clean". The only way to bounty hunt outside the jurisdiction that a bounty was set in is to use the KWS.
In non-anarchy systems only the bounties that are from the current jurisdiction are legal to hunt. You can us KWS to get bounties from other jurisdictions but to the local authorities, you are assaulting and murdering.
