I cannot comprehend what i saw today. The ONE game that has been on my top list of favorate games was Jurassic Park Operation Genesis. To this day i ecen still play it. The small and old JPOG community are truly feeling what i feel when we saw this spiritual successor to JPOG.

Not only is this amazing but it is being developed by my favorate developer. Elite sits on my top list as well but under JPOG.

I honestly have yet to see anything related gameplay wise but knowing you dabbled in the area as well as devolped Elite i have no problem with backing you 100%..

I do hope you listen to the fans of JPOG. Their are a few things in that game you should look into bringing into yours.

If their is anything i can do suggestion wise please let me know. I saw what good came out of JPOG as well as what caused it to crash.

Sorry if this post is all jumbled. I cannot even type right now after seeing that!

I was exactly the same, I watched it several times and was completely gobsmacked. Really looking forward to seeing more on this.

We'll be attempting to keep a tight rope when it comes to the hype, simmering down rumors, and conveying what is and isn't coming/happening in the coming year. Essentially, we hope to set expectations of what is to come with Jurassic World Evolution. :)

You do realise the trailer isn't in game footage right? It's like watching this one and thinking it is E: D gameplay and visuals

You can try but the hype train is pretty unstoppable .. as you know. This new delivery method for games has it's pitfalls, just ask Hello Games and RSI :p

If you are talking about the JWE trailer from Gamescom, then I'm 100% certain it says as much right at the start - says it's pre-rendered footage.

Do you see any normal in-game elements like a user interface etc? That's the other usual give away between differentiating pre-rendered or sometimes game engine footage versus gameplay footage.

Ah, yes, it does say it's pre-rendered footage. I do wonder, however, how much it would differ.

Time will tell!

I'm sure aspects of it will be very similar to the footage but likely won't be as dramatic/filmic as it appears in trailer. The same as if you watch the Elite Dangerous trailer posted in the thread, a fair chunk of that could be in game engine - but the game doesn't "play" the way the trailer makes it appear.

I never played JPOG, but watched a few vids after seeing FD's announcement, and then became enthused and tried to buy it somewhere, like GOG and Steam, but nobody has it.

I guess I will have to wait for FD's game.
