You guys screwed up the selecting of targets in the system screen

If you use this, it wipes your planned route. That pretty much destroys this for long range exploring.

I pointed it out as a bug during the beta. Mr. Brookes has insisted this is a feature but I'm not keen on it being a feature because as you said, it kinda kills its purpose.

For now, you could select the planet destination in the nav tab and check out which one is selected in the system tab. It's a bit silly I know.

Why don't you plan the route to the in-system target?, it's what i did in the beta and always worked.

The problem the thread is talking about is that one might want to use the system map to select a planet to scan while being on an already planned 1k ly route. You can't do this currently as selecting a planet resets the route for that planet and not the 1k ly route the player just set up.

I see, then yeah this must be a bug.

Isn't there a key binding (unbound by default) to reselect the last selected jump destination? I'm sure I used it last time I went exploring.
Can't check at the moment because I'm downloading the update.

I'd settle for the cartography page working smoothly right now. As it stands I get the magic pin wheel for a long time when trying to sell data....
