I took a mission to massacre pirates
Scooting around Aasgananu.

15 souls for 4 shiny MEFs
Gonna get paid in Aasgananu.

"I'll go to the RES and be done in a flash"
Cleaning up Aasgananu.

I moan in regret, no mission targets yet
In the RES at Aasgananu.

Returning home to fetch a special item to catch
The pirates of Aasgananu.

Interdictor in place, I launch my ship and I race
Straight back to Aasgananu.

Cruising around, not a pirate to be found
Scooting around Aasgananu.

Feeling dismay as I search and I pray
For a pirate in Aasgananu.

Then, in a flash, blue lights sparkle and dash
A pirate found me in Aasgananu.

I target the threat and I sigh in regret,
It's just a cop from Aasgananu.

"Citizen, listen here; you have nothing to fear
from the Navy of Aasgananu."

The comms come in clear, but I begin to shed a tear
"Why did I come to Aasgananu?"

I let loose howls and wails, my cockpit view only entails
The star of Aasgananu.

I jerk the stick hard in vain, caught up in the blue lane
Of the cop from Aasgananu.

My ship shudders and shakes, my hull warps and ablates
Inside the star of Aasgananu.

I keep cursing and fighting, my ship still is sliding
Through the star of Aasgananu.

I knew I was done, cooked up crisp by the sun
Going to die here in Aasgananu.

I close my eyes and sigh, I get ready to re-buy
My Type-10 in Aasgananu.

I finally hear a boom, but it's got a different tune
Still alive in Aasgananu.

The pop of an emergency drop, because my ship never stopped
I slid completely through the star of Aasgananu!

But for real, what the heck is up with pirate massacre missions? None of the pirates I killed in the RES (who were from the correct faction) were mission targets. So I went and got an interdictor, and none of the pirates I interdicted (who were from the correct faction) were mission targets... This was just a giant waste of my time.

Could be worse. You could've completed 4 massacre missions. Had them sitting in your transactions tab for a few days because you were still completing other massacre missions. Then logged in today to find the completed missions have disappeared and you now have 4 assassination missions you never signed up for which fail immediately. :)

This happened to me too - but I assumed it was because of the Thurs server update! I don't give a s**t about the BGS etc, so these kind of events are outside of my knowledge 'comfort zone'.

& also, I've been playing for nearly 3 yrs & I'm used to Frontier's coding, now! :|

It's true, though I really do love the game despite it's flaws. Does that make me a masochist? [wacky]

Had a moment of flying through a star myself on interdiction, and through a giant at that. Fastest "acceptance" stage of grief ever. Or one of the longest three seconds in my life. Good thing I have no VR. The Vette was ok after that.

And yes, BHing is a complete mess.
Firstly, I feel like massacre count limit extends to Assasinations as well, so neither *Pirate lords* nor their henchmen count towards *screw 25 pirates* missions. Probably because Assasinations are basically *Massacre 1 named NPC* missions.
Secondly, there are way too many classifications for targets, or it is probably just a bug in variable definitions. Because some of wanted combat ships are not pirates. Same for some military massacres, there are like 3 different types of *military* targets.

And there is a thing of assasinations' targets flipping ships and their wanted status way too often. Those variables should be constant and tied to mission.
