You know there is a bug in hyperspace when...

I look down at my throttle and pull back. It gets to to the halfway point and keeps going, but how? We're in hyperspace, surely reverse throttle isn't applicable here.

I know by now this is a definite signal that I'm locked in hyperspace, and that I'll need to task manager my way out.

Darn you bug!

Never had this be indicative of a bug. You pull your throttle down and the visual representation of the pilot's hand pulls the throttle to 0, as it should. Applicable or not you're looking at an analog device. If anything the question should be why your character is using an analog throttle control in the year 3300.

I think you misunderstand.

In supercruise, and indeed hyperspace, the throttle cannot be set to below 0. This is because you cannot activate reverse thrusters in these scenarios.

I'm not here to discuss FD's design choice of throttle control - You'd probably prefer a neural interface for this, unfortunately that wouldn't translate to great gameplay in 2015.

I want to also note that: If you claim that whilst in SC or HS and can set the throttle to a reverse position (anything less than the 'halfway point') you are seriously mistaken and do not understand the implications concerning this, both from a gameplay mechanic and an in game 'physics dilemma'

Next time you're stuck in hyperspace, which I'll admit is a very rare bug, look down at your throttle and see if it can be set to below 0. Based on my experience, in a bugged situation in HS, it will be able to.

Hence the comedic thread I've posted - you clearly post before thinking haha.
