You know what I would spend real money on?

Minti2

Deadly, But very fluffy...
I am a nerd (expect for the intellectual bit) and I ruddy well want an official Elite badge to prove it! :p

As an afterthought, I would gladly pay for an antique wooden ship wheel (with the Elite logo in the middle), both in my cockpit and a small physical miniature for the desk. I'd also like AndyBs clock on it. :D

Yeah i fall down on the intellectual bit to :( perhaps thats why we are blood thirsty PvPers!

as for the other stuff, Soon! ;)

Licensed game related merchandise /snip

Etc etc...

I'd LOVE ED to also add 3D printer files of the ships, for a decent price of course.

The Enders game Film, did this.

And I've just seen that The Hobbit: An unexpected journey are also doing a 3D print of THE KEY TO EREBOR !
So it looks like this kind of thing could be catching on

No idea how you would limit the file to one print only to stop duplication / re-sell pirating of the file though, so that may be a downside to the suggestion.

It should be possible to create file that is locked to a user via a code, and becomes useless after this :D

There is a group that invented just that. A safe way to transmit 3D model files that when intercepted will not yield any useful design, unless you have the right codes.

Well then, we are good to go!
Sell the designs to medals, ships & other props ingame - let people print them out themselves. Everybody wins!

I am somewhat careful with the 3D printing. There is talk about nanoparticles or at least some sort of dust being released into the air. And as always, these machines are pushed onto the market before anybody does some clearheaded research on the possible health issues involved.
