Different canopy styles for the ships. I know I would buy them. Some nice clean F-16 style bubble canopies for the FDL and Vulture. I mean some of the canopies are pretty poor, they look like salvage from WW2 aircraft.

So who's in? :D

I would like some cockpit mods. How doable it would be is unknown. How much effort FD would put in is another issue.
For me it doesn't have to be all huge and fancy - who flies around with dangling wires in the cockpit?
Seats. Unless we are gonna get NPC crew (or even if we do) I wouldn't mind having the extra seats removed in the Conda. And then centered in ships like the Python and Cobra after removal.
As for the canopy, well, that's why I am a Lakon slappy. Wouldn't mind a little better upward view in some of the non-Lakon ships.

Ah well. I suspect cockpit mods may be a big pipedream.

Funnily enough, way back before even Alpha there was talk and even concept artwork of being able to fit different styles of cockpit/canopy. IIRC it was based on the main manufacturers so you could get a Lakon 'glasshouse' style , a Gutamaya 'bubble' , etc.

First thing I'm doing when we get legs is taking a bottle of Windex to the front screen.
I'll even buy a fancy chamois from the Frontier store.

I pick my exploration ships specifically because of the view from the cockpit. My AspX has a great view and jump range. I wouldn't mind better canopies on some of my fighter ships though.

Back before ED was released in 2014, there were suggestions of "cockpit cosmetics" for the cash store... such as propaganda posters (fed/imp/alliance), coffee mugs, fluffy dice etc... thus far only the bobbleheads materialised... still no sign of coffee mugs nor fluffy dice, and no posters yet. Many people would buy such stuff to customise their cockpits.

Reason being, if I were a freelance space jockey my cockpit wouldn't look so clean and sleek... it'd have my personal... err... "personalisations" all over it.

I might have gone for this a couple of years ago when the game was in its infancy. There was actually some concept art for certain ships -- Lakons I think -- with canopy variants. But you just know that if FD did this now someone would point out that canopy x has slightly better visibility than canopy y and half the threads on the front page would be "ED is pay-to-win!!!!!11!!!!!"

Some old school engine designs as part of ship kits would be nice. For example the single diamond engine on Asps and Pythons, and the central engine on sidewinders. I'd love to be able to get rid of the pointless fins on the Asp too.

I realize it is kicking an old thread; but I think a empire coffee mug would sell well. Not one for the cockpit, one that I can actually use.

No some would point me to frontiers store. However, the empire coffee mug shown there has never actually been for sale. It is always listed as out of stock. I would also like a tie bar. Not a tie tack, those tear up my ties . . . yes, I wear a tie at work. No, I am not required to, I choose to.

From the frontier store, I would like:
I. Empire coffee mug (out of stock)
II. An Empire tie bar (has never been offered)
