you might have a problem when...............

unable to justify the cost of track ir or occulus, instead your sat in from of your pc with your iphone strapped to your head lol
it works really well actually, tip tip, lock the door, you dont want anyone to see you like this!!! if anyone asks, tell them you was watching pron , that would be less embarrassing than trying to explain why you have a phone strapped to your head :D

I like this.
Have some rep for the sheer fun of this.
I keeps screaming the my pc and my other half is getting worried that I'm going to have an heart attack.
I keep saying this is the most fun I've had in years
They are not impressed

I was going to suggest getting the EDTracker (which also works great). It's smaller than trying it with a smart phone but the blinking LEDs are still a cause for questions. I've had comments from a few guests about the blinking box strapped to my head(set). It's time to start thinking up some really good reasons for it - I think I'll start with the DIY Cyberman kit excuse and see how that goes.

Awesome, I was considering taking apart a Wii remote I've got lying around to do this sort of thing (an entire remote tied to my head is too embarassing). I've only come accross Android-based things like this before, I don't suppose you have a link to what you used with an iPhone?

i used mobile mouse pro, it has an 'air mouse' function, but any air mouse app would do, as long as it uses the sensors rather than the screen, the only thing is that you cant use it if your using keyboard/mouse controls, that said, if you have mobility issues with your arms/hands its possible to fly using your head lol

i looked at that its only about £25 a bargain next to irtracker at £100+, and if i'd not found the phone one i'd probably have ordered it by now, i may still do, the phone works great as a technical demonstration, this sort of stuff is expensive to try if you've never used it before and don't know if you'll actually like it, it does actually add to the games atmos, only slightly reduced by having a phone strapped to your head lol, still could be worse, that app works on ipads as well.................
