You Recommended Headphones for ED

I've been using Hyper X II's with 7.1 surround sound. They are wired and work awesome with Track IR. I move my head and sound shifts position. Also has a boom mike for in game communication and very well made. I've had them for about 1 year and use them every day 4-5 hrs with no problems. One of the best investments I've made for the game.

These are the best all rounders for the money I'll come across, just make sure you get the II's

The beyerdynamic DT 770 M is my personal favorite. It has excellent ambient noise attenuation and beautiful sound.

With these on my head I leterally do not hear what's happening in the room around me. Great for immersion, but it might scare the heebie jeebies out of you when out of the blue someone touches your shoulder to get your attention...

Really appreciate all the replies CMDR's. I am veering towards all rounders ie a set that I can crash out the back with when the suns oot. (Scotland so that's measured in hours per year, not days!) AKG, audio-technica, Sennheisers appear to be getting mentioned a lot for decent sound even in their budgety ranges (hello)

Heading out to some actual shops to see if I can get a listen and try the fit and maybe grab a pair, FSD back for some rares smugglin' and feel the full roar of ones' engines again. Yaaaaas! \m/

If you're in or around Edinburgh, Richer Sounds on Chambers St. should have a good range.

I occasionally use my oldish turtlebeach ones. I forget which.. X12/21s or something. They're compatible with the Xbox 360 which I also used them on.

Very comfortable, and excellent sound.
I think they were only £25 new. Lol

Personally got a logitech G930 wireless which is pretty much the opposite of what you want but I've honestly not found a better set for my personal preferences (too many lost to broken wires when I forget I'm wearing them and stand up) even if they are overpriced.

The game sounds better over my G930 set than my speakers. My only complaint is that the set is rather heavy after a while, since it has a built in battery pack. As far as performance goes, they are an excellent choice.

I'm an O-Wan Four-Wan[big grin], but we have a Richer Sounds over here too. Never made it that far though. Picked up a set of Sony XP950AP's after much to-ing and fro-ing trying them and various others out. £75 Pc World.

Mucked about with my settings on the PC and game and now they are doing great after being a little loud and a little booming.

Got myself a pair of noise canceling ear buds - QuietComfort® 20 by Bose. Fantastic. The little details in the game pop up, like the hum of the panels, some scratching noises, etc. And they cancel the fan noise my laptop makes.
