This is simply insane. Haven't played in over a year. I came back to try it out and I've had one session messing with key mappings and have not been able to log in since. what a mess for 40 bucks
 
Current working theory is that the DLC does not appear in the Epic Game Store Library when purchased direct from Frontier.

If you downloaded Horizons for free from Epic, played the game so much you bought the alpha direct from Frontier to ensure they didn't lose a cut of the sale price (as a small moral gesture made in regards to receiving the original game for free) you are now completely locked out.

It's a similar situation to LEP and steam, but not the same.
Yes is probably a small group who are in this situation, but it does exist and at present not acknowledged by Fdev.
 
Are you a lifetime pass owner that connected your account to Steam? I've been getting this for the last few updates and starting the launcher manually (not through Steam) has allowed me to upgrade.
I'm a lifetime pass owner. I tried this, but there's no option to update or install anything. The most frustrating thing is that I played yesterday and I really liked it. They've given me a taste and then took it away.

Edit: Okay, it seemed my standalone launcher was logged in to the wrong account. I logged into the correct account and I am now upgrading Odyssey. Launching through Steam is still a no go, despite hotfix 2 showing up.

Edit 2: Also, this could be a coincidence but, the updater in the ED Launcher seemed to hang until I closed and reopened Steam.

Most annoying thing is that I was able to download an update 20 hours ago, and another an hour ago... and still no joy!
 
Well the 'hotfix' is installed and, just asking here, is anyone else having a problem with reading their mission transactions when on board their ship? I ask because since the 'fix' it keeps moving the highlight to the left meaning I cannot select or read the mission descriptions

I do appreciate your honorable attempts to help others, but this isn't a solution at this time.
I had the same issue and running the launcher DID work for me. I had to login again for some reason. It's updating now.

Hope you get it sorted.
