Your ED event of this year

As New Year Eve slowly closes in, what's your ED event of this year? Mine are space station newsletter (I really love concept and can't wait to see it), Damocles video, and of course alpha. There were tons of others, but these really stoked me and renewed my faith in game.

For me, I would have to go all the way to the start of the year. The day Elite made it's funding goals. That day is very special to me (my sig even links to my reaction ), it's the day Elite IV became real, it's the day the Elite Community stood up and said in a clear loud voice to answer David's question; "Do you want this game?", the answer was a resounding YES!!!!

That's is the best version I've heard. I remember seeing it when it first came out but had forgotten about it.

Allen's book getting funded for me was the BIG thing. Getting to know a lot of you has been really fun, including all the folks involved directly or indirectly with the Fantastic Books stuff.

But definitely the community side of things has been more fun than the technical side of things.

Yep I agree, the moment we finally knew we were getting the game after all these years.

When we got to see the capital video and the 1st time I started the Alpha as well.

Absolutely ! Making an alpha pledge because I was desperate for this to happen, then the waiting & worrying as the kickstarter crept toward it's goal & the sheer elation when it made it !
Then downloading the alpha & (for the first time in almost 20 years) playing Elite !
