Brian Blessed once trekked to the North Pole. While he was there a Russian nuclear sub broke through the ice cap, so he decided to board the sub dressed as Santa Claus and give the sailors Christmas presents.

Yup, he may have been a fairly horrible person personality-wise, and he was undeniably over-priveleged too, but there is no denying he was a great combat leader and a gutsy b*****d. So he'd certainly be useful to have on your wing when things got tough.
I may be wrong ,but I heard Brian didnt actually make it.One of his companions was dying so he had the choice of carrying on to the summit or saving the mans life. He chose the later .....now that proves just what a bloke he is to have around .Caring to the end but dont mess or he'll rip your throat out and pee down your neck
