YOUR FAVOURITE DINOSAUR? (IN GAME)

What is your favourite dinosaur currently in the game and why? Just curious to see what people like , if there is already a similar thread point me to it !

I'll start...

Kentrosaurus. Not going to lie when I first played this game I never heard of it before and even when I first unlocked it I didn't really care for it. Over time it grew on me somehow and now I always have a heard of them with the woodland pattern and a couple Brachs with them too. With the new herding mechanics they look even better herding around, now we just need to fix the clipping issues and they will be pretty perfect

Call me classic but mine is the T-Rex.
Always has been ever since Jurassic Park came out and that never changed.
I loved the breakout scene with the kids in the car and the sounds the T-Rex made, pretty terrifying.

There are other species that grew on me while playing the game but still not enough to dethrone the Tyrant Lizard King.
Every Island in my game has one T-Rex.

Not going to lie the T-rex in the JP franchise and this game is pretty amazing. I love the sound designs for it too, loud as hell!

Parasaurolphus has always been my favourite dinosaur. I also really like the JP design of it.

Agh...I can't choose only one...but I do have a favourite of each type:

Small herbivore: Dracorex
I'm a potterhead, and its name Dracorex hogwartsia means "Dragon king of Hogwarts".
So is there anything cooler than naming them after Rowling's characters?

Small carnivore: Deinonychus
I love the crest, comb and tail ridge, they give it a unique look.

Medium herbivore: ...
Fine, I don't have a favourite hadrosaurid. Sorry.

Large carnivore: T-REX!
Well, I haven't unlocked every dinosaur, so Giganotosaurus may soon be crowned in this place.

Giant herbivore: Diplodocus
So remember the Science mission in Isla Tacaño, where you have to keep one stressed for 3 minutes? After the mission was completed, the first thing I did was give this Diplo a few herding companions. She deserved it.

Armored herbivore: Torosaurus
I don't know why, maybe because it's like a slimmer Triceratops

All of the in game models are good so its hard to choose although I don't really care for some of the skin color choices.

I would have to go with Metriacanthosaurus and Spinosaurus because they both look awesome and have some cool varied colors. Also the pattern of the Matria reminds me of a harlequin tusk fish which is awesome. If only it had an orange white and blue skin lol.

Lots of nice dinosaurs! Majungasaurus, Baryonyx, T-Rex and Troodon, even though they're spooky as heck (and I do mean genuinely scary). I'm also fond of Nodosaurus, even if they're a pain to keep.

It really is tough to pick just one, so I'm cheating and going for more than one! A herder;
Active, colourful, stubborn and so good looking ... Muttaburrasaurus.

I have yet to have a single favorite but below are some really good ones:-

The chubby Apatosaurus, the sturdy Stygimoloch, the mighty Mamenchisaurus, the stylish Baryonyx, the vibrant Metricanthosaurus, the intimidating Majungasaurus and finally the gorgeous white Indominus

Dilophosaurus but in fairness I've been a fan of that design since I watched the first Jurassic Park film in cinemas.

Dilophosaurus but in fairness I've been a fan of that design since I watched the first Jurassic Park film in cinemas.

I love the movie frilled venom-spitting Dilophosaurus too, but in this game it's kinda weird to see it having the same movements as Velocirraptor and Deinonychus (i.e. attacking using legs first, even though it doesn't have that moon-shaped claw). Also I think it's a shame that it doesn't use the frill other than when fighting, attacking visitors or exiting the creation lab. I'd love to see it when socialising.

Overall in the JP franchise it will always be the VELOCIRAPTORS (or DEINONYCHUS) depends on which side of the fence you prefer hahaha.

But in game it would be the Suchomimus since they have such beautiful skins . She's the reason I got the deluxe edition in the first place.

If the raptors had better skins then it would be them of course... But sad to say their skins are bland.

This may be TMI... but oh well...

Funny story: I was like 3 when the film came up, apparently cinemas allow kids my age to watch as long as they're accompanied by an adult, in this case my mom.
So me & my mom were watching, she had to buy me a new set of shorts after watching the film. You can figure out why...

Because of that though, Jurassic Park, & Dinosaurs for that matter, especially the T-Rex, became the reason why I'm so interested in Science.

I remember when people were really against the design when they first showed it. I think it's one of those things you just have to see in game yourself and probably with a different skin. I love the tundra skin on Deins and Carnos.
