Your favourite ship, and why?

The Python, because I love the look of it. Well, actually I like every ship designed by Faulcon DeLacy.
And for a multipurpose ship it is a great one.
I have currently fitted it with a Bounty Hunter configuration.
And so far I am not disappointed by it.

The only drawback is its price to fully outfit it. But it is worth the investment.

I have a soft spot for the Adder.

I quite like the look of it and it's very maneuverable. If you crank up the sound or wear headphones, the creepy haunted sounds it makes will send chills down your spine.

Oh...and it has a cup holder :D

In PvP it's the Vulture. This scrapy-do, gnarled bulldog, tearing at the leash the whole time. It's a hand full but so much fun. ;)

In PvE it's the Python.. So much fire power, head to head, it make a sidey disappear in under 5 seconds. Even after the nerf it can get through most ship's reasonably fast, just needs a couple of turrets to compensate.

Allrounder the Asp. Does everything quite well, especially exploration. Those jump ranges.

The Viper. Fast, fun and crazy engine sound.

Reminds me of the time spent in the Viper Mk 1 and 2 in the previous two Elite games.

Would be great if we could tune up our ships so the Viper and other cheap ships could be more useful.
I could spent 50 million on the Viper with prototype military components.

My beloved Python. Worked so long for it and it turned out so awesome as i though it would be. At first there was the Sidey - well, its a sidey. Whats more to say. Then the Eagle - that agility! It was great, but that ship is sadly made mostly out of paper. Cobra - Jack of all trades, master of none. Then the Viper - my first love. Sound of a Harley and speed of a Ferrari, a true combat ship. After that i needed money, there was no way of earning money through bounty hunting. T6 and then T7. Made some good money (bored me to death) to buy an A-Specced Vulture - what a beast! Felt a bit OP. Made a lot of money with Bounty Hunting, bought the FDL. Great ship, especially the Huge Cannon mount at the bottom. Had so much fun Onehitting Eagles and Sideys, also killing Condas under 30 seconds. But the Jumprange, Power plant, cargo and Fuel tank were a no-go. You are basically stuck with Bountyhunting.

Then.. finally.. the PYTHON.

She has it all. Unlimited power (30MW), Perfectly placed Hardpoints, superb firepower. Tons of room for modules, 200+ Cargo space. Oh yeah, and it looks awesome.

My ship of choice.

That's just the Viper (and ironically the Eagle) from our current batch. The rest of the series were 'acquired' along the way from other shipyards, such as Whatt & Pritney, who were the original Python manufacturer.

Yeah, that would be nice.. Its still an amazing ship though, I interdicted a dude in a pimped out clipper the other day, he responded by typing 'Brave' into local. I doubt he was thinking that as his shields went down, hull down to 50%, me on 100%, and had to call in two of his mates for backup.

A wing of four Vipers with players who know what they are doing.. Now thats gonna kick some butt. :)

What I meant to say, is that I like every ship sold by Faulcon DeLacy. And mostly because of their design.
And yes, I did not read the ships description. And Elite: Dangerous is my first game from the series.

Sorry for the lack of precision. ;)

Haha, no problem. Just making sure everyone knows about Faulcon deLacy and their... business practises. ;)

If you think you can get away from them by buying Zorgon Peterson, I think FdL own them too, but trade with the ZPG name as a subsidiary of FdL (not sure if this is still canon).

Asp is nice from any in-game consideration. However, the ship that is ideal has not been released yet imo. If they make a single-seat Cobra variant, I will reconsider my position.
