Your friends forget you?

It would appear that being out in the black is a way of being forgotten :/

I've high tailed it back to Kippax Ring thinking it'll be nice to see a green station...but it is not. We are apparently only on Neutral terms.
Is this normal? your friendships and alliances degrade back to neutral? thank goodness real life doesn't work that way.

hahahaha

Only 9 months. It does say uncontrolled, but so did Jaques. IGER still seem to be running the show. I could understand dropping from allied to friendly if you aren't around......though 9 months seems a bit quick, but neutral?
It'll only take a few pages of selling to resolve it, of course.

"Uncontrolled" refers to the Powerplay power in control, not the Minor Faction. It is irrelevant to either superpower or minor faction rep.

Your reputation with a minor faction does not decay. If you were Allied with that faction, then you should still be Allied with that faction, uless you subsequently went around blowing their ships up.

Two things may explain your observations:

- The minor faction owner of the station may have changed. So you are still Allied with the minor faction, they no longer control the station nor have any say in whether you are Neutral, Friendly etc in the space controlled by the station.

- If the faction is aligned with a superpower, then perhaps you were actually Allied only with the superpower, and not with the minor faction. Prior to 2.0, if you were Allied with a superpower, you became instant Allies with every single faction aligned with that superpower. It was a powerful effect - too powerful, because 2.0 local faction rep changed. Now, if you want to be Allied with a minor faction, you have to actually do jobs for that faction. The only advantage being Allied with a superpower brings now, is that it takes fewer missions to become allied with an aligned faction, compared to a non-aligned one.

Thanks for the explanation Sapyx. Seems I may have uncovered another bug then....<sigh> shouldn't surprise me given most of my system scans prior to 2.1 became invisible.

As far as I know only your status with the major factions drops after a while. Your status with minor factions stays untouched while you are out. At least that was the case with my 9 months absence from beer and showers, Alioth Independents and Sirius Corp were still allied as were a couple of others. I'd report it as a bug if you can rule out a faction change of a station.
