What would be your ideal order for upcoming DLCs? For the sake of keeping it a little more grounded id say we stay with the existing Pack formats of 7+1 and 4+1 with scenery.
For my Roadmap i excluded potential Aviary and Fully Aquatic stuff to keep it a little more simple because i have no idea if,when and how something like this would be added.
Also with my list i will just speculate that Planet Zoo will have atleast 2 more Years of support, partly for funs sake and also because its not to unrealistic giving the last DLCs and since PZ is still profitable.
So all that said here my ideal list:
Spring 2023
Islands Pack:
This Pack is almost exlusively oceania based, but these would be my ideal roster. Maybe you could put the tree kangaroo i a Rainforest DLC to make room for the japanese serow to get a little more representation from other places in the world. Obviously there a tons more animals that would fit a Islands theme but im pretty set on these guys.
Summer 2023
Rainforest Animal Pack
Again, this pack is pretty heavy on one region of the world being south america. But since its one of the most biodiverse places on earth and were still kinda lacking a lot from there i think this is a good roster. I chose the Margay over the ocelot because we dont have a true small cat in game and ocelots are surpisingly large (for me atleast). Im not sure if Frontier would include two monkeys in one pack, let alone two from about the same place, but i really wanna see the monkeyshaped hole in this game filled
Autum 2023
Nighthouse DLC
Theme wise this is pretty similar to the Twilight Pack, but i imagine this having more the vibe of a real nighthouse instead focusing mainly on woodland critters and halloween.
Winter 2023
Drylands Animal Pack
Not to sure about the blackbuck since it doesnt fit the general deserty theme, but asia is missing some ungulates so here we go
Cobra is also not really a desert animal but its so iconic.
Spring 2024
Mountains Pack
Other options are andean bears and markhors. Also olms really live more under mountians instead on them, and we gotten a lot of salamanders lately so maybe there is a better pick. Also seen a lot of people sugesting chinese or japanese giant salamanders for a Mountain pack exhibit spot lately, bit with 150cm and above they are way to big for the current exhibit imo.
Summer 2024
Safari Pack
Gathered around alot of species i was kinda missing from the Grasslands pack and made a Safari DLC out of them. Not sure if Frontier will ever get back to Region based packs but its a cool pack and fits a lot of decently requested animals. Could have added the african leopard or servals for a predator spot but PZ is pretty good on cats, especially big one and a couple of my previous pack would have added even more so i left them out ( sorry cat people)
The uromastyx as the exhibit species doesnt fit the Safari theme as well as maybe a mamba would have but i love them and you cant stop me. They have a couple color variations ranging from highlighter yellow to orange which could bring a pop of color to the terrariums.

Petting Zoo Pack
Personally i have no strong feelings for or against a Petting Zoo pack. I just think sooner or later Frontier will tackle the idea of such a DLC.
Also broke my own rule here and included 5 habitat animals but i couldnt think of any petting zoo exhibit species (hermans tortoise maybe?)

Woodlands Animal Pack
This i probably the pack with the loosest definition including animals from generally temperate foresty areas around the world.
A Roadmap like this would include most of the animals id like to see in the game. Obviously i would love flying birds and aquariums but as i said in the beginnig i left them out.

- Fossa
- Goodfellows tree kangaroo
- New caledonian giant gecko

- African civet
- Slow loris
- African crested porcupine
- some kind of small-medium python like Ball or carpets/ another bat
- Scenery would include building pieces that acutally block light and make it appropriately dark inside.
