On the PC version you could petiton FDEV to put your clan into the game as a minor faction. My old group had one such system and we pushed there agenda until we owned the system. Will that still be a thing?

from what i understand, everything the pc and xbox1 crowd have (minor factions and a home system in colonia etc), we will have access to as well. i mean i seriously doubt they will give us the game and not give us minor factions and stuff

It's an aspect of the game I really enjoyed. It gives you a goal to chase. Before I stopped playing the pc version we had 2 systems under the clans control :)

XBOX and PC and Mac all share a background state server-side, part of which is the faction that 'owns' a system. At a guess, and it does not seem unreasonable, PS4 will also share that background state so it should all be the same.

(note, I'm a mod not an FD employee. I have no inside information).

As far as I can tell it's just a matter of making up a faction name and petitioning FDEV. They do the rest and tell you where that faction is.

Is "Rainbow Ryders" one of them? I've got a grand daughter who's clubs name is that. They replaced the letter "i" with a "y", because as she states, they are different.

i have actually just started a group for exploration in Dangerous Groups called Misfits of Science and Research, i have 3 members and have just petitioned for ED group status. just hope it goes well
