An NPC Vulture rammed my minaconda right in the canopy, giving me my first canopy pop, while under fire by multiple other ships.

My wingmates gave me good cover and I escaped with half hull left.

That is a way to learn quickly how to drop out of cruise without sensors...

Going all the way back to the Premium Beta, here. There was a little trick (seen in this video - you disengaged just as the station whizzed by https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pt5SHMroad4) you could do to drop closer to the station - safe drop was 20km out back then, IIRC.

The time I went to check out the innermost planet of the Betelgeuse system. I got a bit toasty, to say the least.

In warzone, I disabled the powerplant of Anaconda, and positioned my Vulture to achieve him.
I pressed the Burst key instead of the "Stop" key...

T-7 loaded with Palladium. On entry to the station I reach for the "L" key to lower landing gear and hit "J" by mistake.

Fine for "illegal dumping", total loss of cargo and red faced embarrassment all around.

I reset the "J" jettison key to "Shift + J" very quickly afterwards.

Long time ago, still ED 1.0. Being far removed from the "Sidey to Conda in 24 hours" methodologies, I went Sidey - Viper - Cobra route (don't judge me, but I even mined in Viper). I was trading at the time around Komovoy - back then an anarchy that, when I was tired of trading, offered guilt-free bounty hunting. Then at some point I discovered that I can afford a trade-worthy T6. And to increase my trade profits to boot. Yay! So I trade in my middling Cobra for a T6, load up full hold of (methinks) land enrichment systems and, being mindful that time is money, boost off the outpost landing pad for my flying tub's maiden voyage to riches. Of course, I immediately meet station antenna which Cobra would have cleared beautifully, T6 - not so much. 9% hull left. Had to land back, do the repairs and then fly whole damn day to recover the losses.
