I have one, in preparation for my Pimax. I'm very pleased with the MSI card; my last 2 cards were MSI too.
The Trio is quieter than any video card I've had in many years. The build quality is high (so it's a 5 star card), but I've had some issues with the DragonCenter software (so I gave it 4 stars overall). Here's a link to my write up...

I intended to get the MSI Trio 2080Ti, but my wife had a video card failure, so had to get a new card immediately and the 2080Ti was not in stock. (I gave my wife my old MSI 980Ti.) For VR, I'd recommend the 2080Ti, if you can afford it. It might be worthwhile to wait for a few months, for a sale or for the price to drop.
