To facilitate different game play styles, I suggest that Frontier allow all accounts to have a free second commander, but this second commander:

Has no eject / rebuy option
Can only play in open


Forntier could regularly update the stats on these 'no death' commanders by sharing monetary, rank & elite progress.

Or here a better idea. Buy a new Account which supports Frontier Future updates. You can play Ironman mode and Open. While the other account, you can play however you choose.

I know I already do it on my secondary account. he never died working on triple elite. If he dies I restart the whole game.
