Your patience will be rewarded

When you are waiting for a game in CQC, there is an evil lady who taunts you with "Your patience will be rewarded" comments from time to time. I admire her optimism, I really do. She says this without a hint of irony and and presumably with a straight face.

I think we would all appreciate it if she could say something different and perhaps with a touch of honesty. I humbly suggest her comments are changed to something like "Your patience will be stretched to breaking point".

This would make us poor CQC'ers feel a lot better on the whole. I am thinking this could be a headline feature in 2.4

... I imagine the face to the voice looks like our sweet scoopy lady .. I totally support your suggestion but would even go further and fix the entire npc communication in the game ; )

Actually, your signature made me think of the old BBC test card. Waiting for a match of CQC is like watching that while waiting for the BBC to begin broadcasting kids TV in the afternoon.

Just for you :)

Or the musical version:

Reminds me of typical elevator music.

I'm sure this isn't the thread for this but I heard someone talk about rewards for CWC like special ship skins and decals. I bet that might help bring some more traffic.

They should introduce NPC matches to keep you busy until real people show up. People might stick around and wait for a match if they had something to do other than just stick around waiting for a match.

Thanks for that! I think the music is what passed for generally acceptable without any of that nasty edgy skiffle, pop, or rock and roll music.

Now I'm thinking that an updated, amber and black testcard is needed for when Galnet starts offering video services. Perhaps with Aisling Duval and Li Yong-Rui in the centre circle.

I agree if they can invest in NPC path finding for the maps and then fill out spots with these then maybe more people will play.

The biggest turn off is sitting there waiting and waiting.

In another thread here they tallied about accessing CQC from in game, with 2.3 multicrew they should also consider telepresence to a CQC session as well from ship cockpit.
