I also understood the original question as: "What did you play on PS4 before ED?"
Indeed it's an ambiguous question, i said to myself it could be about either subject when i saw the title.
Well to answer both questions...

.
I've been playing games on the consoles and home "PC" systems of my cousins and friends since the 1988-89 (when i was about seven or eight) and arcade games since about 1990 (when i was around nine), 'til about the last ten years or so, 'til most of the ones near me either closed down or stopped getting new games.
I played on the Master Systems, Mega Drives, NESs (never really on the Super NES, only once in a shop), Commodore 64's and two different Amstrads, one that played tapes, the other floppy discs (which is why i put PC in the quotation marks further back as while the systems could do a little more than play games and weren't exactly game consoles, i never saw anyone use them for anything other than games

), before i ever owned anything other than LCD handhelds.
While indeed since the late 80s, i've had a passion for games, but didn't have a lot of money or expensive presents many of my cousins and friends did as i'm an only child from a one parent family.
I didn't get my first gaming system 'til i bought a Master System II for £30 (to be specific that was 30 Irish Pounds, which was a separate currency to the British pound since 1922, we started using the Euro about 2000) with pocket money, when i was 15 in 1996, when its' games were selling for a pocket money friendly price of around £10 each, which of course was when the Mega Drive was already on the way out and the PS1 was already in shops

.
I bought my first TV about a year later so i could play games in my room, without having to steal time on the sitting room TV, mostly from pocket money and €40 from a week's work experience for school, which the shop didn't have to give me (i did a second week six months later, elsewhere, and they didn't give me a penny

).
I bought a PS1 two years after my Master System, after getting my first summer job in 1998.
I bought a PS2 about a year after it came out in late 2001, partly from summer job and college grant money.
Up to this point when i didn't have a massive amount of money, i didn't buy THAT many games (as i couldn't afford many), but those i could, i played to death, in particular i knew every character in Soul Blade backwards and had played the likes of, MDK, Metal Gear Solid 1 and 2 and Max Payne, literally about 15 times each or more

.
But in late 2003, i started my first full time job. In particularly it meant i then had plenty of money to spend on games, also bought my first car and own home in about the two years after i started it, but it also let me branch out into different types of games.
While console gaming and Playstation gaming in particular had always been my favourite type and still is, i had never played games on a proper PC 'til i bought one in 2005 (which i only replaced last Christmas

), also since i now had the money to buy more games than i could ever play, i then and since now mostly only play most games about once through properly, so i've only played MGS3 and Max Payne 2 once each etc.
Since then, i bought both a PS3 and PS4 at launch and the latest game i've bought is this one.
On PS4 themes, they don't do much for me, in general, i liked the PS3's a lot more, but my current PS4 one is a Witcher 3 one which i got when i bought the game, but i've yet to install it.
I'd a Just Cause 3 one before that and have yet to install that game either.
I'd a Rise of the Tomb Raider one before that, which i have installed but not finished.
But really the only PS4 theme that has spent any large amount of time on my screen is the Playstation 20th anniversary one and i often reactivate it

.
(One of my favourite PS3 ones was called, Ark and was by persons unknown to me, but should still be on the PS store...

.)
