Your servers suck, offer offline mode!

Have you seen the little piggies
Crawling in the dirt
And for all the little piggies
Life is getting worse
Always having dirt to play around in.

Have you seen the bigger piggies
In their starched white shirts
You will find the bigger piggies
Stirring up the dirt
Always have clean shirts to play around in.

In their sties with all their backing
They don't care what goes on around
In their eyes there's something lacking
What they need's a damn good whacking.

Everywhere there's lots of piggies
Living piggy lives
You can see them out for dinner
With their piggy wives
Clutching forks and knives to eat their bacon.

Yeah, this is precisely the reason we wanted the normal offline gameplay. But Frontier decided to torture us with this networked garbage :(

In the grand scheme of things, the game will be stable and their decision to keep it online-only will reflect better. Taking one bad day like this and claiming it strongly and completely contradicts their decision is rash at best.

Well, nobody can say this incident didn't give those who wanted offline single player more ammunition. That's their "told you so" moment.

No, we need online mode to facilitate the epic background simulation of DB's vibrant, believable, living and breathing universe!

All of which I have yet to experience except for the , fluctuating markets. (Which is bugged because of the AI and Network code) We tried to tell y'all. (I suspect philux was being Sarcastic?)

I ticketed them for the servers tonight, it isnt good when you work all day and think ye when I get in I can play ED, only to find the "refinery communication to server failed" and "could not connect to transaction server" I backed this at BETA and it ran smoother then lol. Also the game needs more depth, needs some tweeks still. The galaxy map is way too simple (I could have designed better), manual isnt in depth enough I was hoping for abit more detail. Hope it comes in the future though because ultimately the concept of this game has so much potential. There are some amazing bits of the game too, sound for one is ace!

After playing the game for a while, I just don't think it was ever feasible to have an entire universe of hundreds of millions of systems in offline mode. FD deserves heat for breaking a promise, but technically, the promise should have never been made. The data foot print would be immense.

And whining about the impossible is .
