Youtuber Kornelius Briedis seems to have had it with Fdevs

There are many, many reasons to do something and change the approach for the development of the game and communication with the community.
The fact that one youtuber stopped playing is not one of those, and i say this as someone who liked his videos.

If it was just a few people it would different but some things are seriously broken, such as the engineer grind. Also the recent engineering exploit situation which Fdev handled in about the worst way possible by refusing to even state that the mods in question have been removed. Which I believe translates to "we did nothing but patch the exploit."

I can hear your axe grinding.

FDev have already said they will focus on implementing core game improvements in 3.0. What more do you want?

OP. Yeah, it's a big shame he has quit. Even after 8 months of inactivity, he still has over 14000 subs. He sure did some good E : D content.

I miss you KB, *cries*.

Yes, but they all still have populations that dwarf ED. They'll be around long after ED.

Nah, Eve doesn't come close and is not growing. Has had player retention issues for a while (although the fans don't like to hear it) and the base has never come close to Ed at its peak.

Which has more to do with ED being for a niche crowd and those games being for the masses.

Like ED could be a micro brew beer that is good for people who like that style of beer. Those games are like Bud Light.

i remember writing a shot rant at one of his videos in particular, a very subjective critique (or rant in itself). however his other videos were spot on, stuffed with useful info for people getting their grip on the game. he clearly likes the game despite all, i'll bet he'll return when there's something to see.

good riddance, that guy was obnoxious

Yes, even the mighty WoW will never be able to obtain the supers it once had. Ironically by listening to people like the OP WoW has alienated players like me who used to enjoy it. Not it feels about as substantial as a cellphone game.
substantial as a cellphone game? talk about delusional
