Zak McKracken and the Alien Mindbenders

Such a landmark game for me, I think I learned the basics of English (for better or worse) while playing it, when I was 6-7.

"Use butter knife on two-headed weasel".

And now available on Steam for peanuts.
I only managed to play through the Monkey Island series, but not Grim Fandango or the Day of the Tentacle - so I probably won't finish Zak either, but I am buying it. Who knows, perhaps I'll find clues for the Guardians in a Martian Pyramids? :)

I got it on GOG quite some time ago, mostly for the nostalgia feeling. Can't check steam at work, but does this also have the FM Towns version? Those are usually really superb. Oh and there's a fan made sequel if you're interested. http://www.mckracken.net/cms/between-timespace-english.html

I don't know about the FM town version, I'll probably have a few days away from the family when I'll probably start playing it on Teamviewer remotely. :)
I knew about the fan made sequel, but wasn't aware it was actually finished.

Aparz of some chore about findiing a way around in the maze of pyramids or rainforest, I remember this game almost like it was an open world game with so many locations across the world. To me the high point of point-and-click adventures...

Sam and Max was the other, that's also on sale on Steam right now. :)

Edit: I expected Zieman to cmment on this thread! :)
