Powerplay Zemina Torval: Where is the collapse?

As written in the PP document, a power that is in the bottom 3 ranks and that fails to secure an expansion is at risk of a collapse.

Zemina Torval for 4, FOUR, weeks in a row has failed to secure an expansion. What is going on? According to the document there should be red alarms beeping and all, and yet, nothing is going on.

Since it isn't the intended power that fd wants to collapse and since this is all apparently a manual process, nothing will happen.

Will be interesting when it is another power in the same situation. *cough*non-empire*cough*

Yup. Where's the collapse? Not even a little bit. Nothing. Nadda.

Which is worse bad mechanics or linear poorly scripted plotline?

Someone should start submitting galnet articles about the imminent collapse of torval as a power, and then submit a CG to make it happen.

The CG can and should be very creative.

I like this. ^^
I don't really want her to die, just retire to sell Apples on the sidewalks of the Capitol so she can always lament on what may have been.
The Empire needs a badass to be fair.
None of the others have shown sufficient flair to pull it off...not to mention the lack of seeds as of yet.
Torval just didn't have much going for them. If I woke up to that every morning as a young or even middle-aged guy, I'd be traumatized.
Was she still hot for the older guys who might appreciate such things?

She should commit suicide for the dishonor she has brought to her family's name. The end

Happy endings aren't allowed then, even with a tinge of sadness...
Is that what the Sims tell you?
I dunno...sometimes I despair at Humanity...always the most destructive end game.
Sooner or later you'll do it to yourselves.
Have fun with that when it comes.

Antal winning again...even the Cultists are losing it.

Maybe the fact that we succeeded two expansions matters? The first in cycle 10 (HIP 105606) and the second in cycle 13 (HR 8104). We just didn't get them due to technical shenanigans.

Another CG idea.

Assault on torvals capital. War breaks out in her capital, all high CZs have a very high chance of spawning capital ships.

Turn in bonds against her to work toward her collapse, turn in combat bonds for her to work toward saving her.

Since expanding is a 2 cycle ordeal, I'd say that 4 cycles is a small time window to ask for a collapse.

That being said, we should be getting some heads up on how close it is through Galnet or other sources.

Is this real? The pics are too small on my phone.

If if it's correct. Then that's surely the answer - expansion hasn't failed enough.

Yeah that's right. The last one happened last cycle and we have a bug ticket being looked at by the devs about it. The strongest argument that is out there is that we couldn't get the expansion because we would have had a negative surplus so it would be dropped automatically. However, our positive surplus is way more than we need to support it. There was an argument about us being in turmoil, but Aisling has expanded in turmoil and the devs said that was fine.

Cycle 10 was 4 weeks ago, this is cycle 14, going to 15 tomorrow. It's accounted for.

Cycle 13 I'm fairly certain was blocked... "intentionally", for lack of a better word at 6AM. It's just not terribly obvious, because it's the result of a poorly documented band-aid meant to address an old issue ALD had with negative expansions.

As near as I can tell it's not your total balance that has to be positive (anyone can get positive if you revolt enough systems), it's the sum of your potential expansions.

You had one expansion, it was negative, so the sum of all your potential expansions was negative. The game then proceeded to prune your expansion list until its total value was zero or more.

As far as duration, even if 4 cycles is too short, as you start getting on past 5 there should at least start to be some lead-up and foreshadowing. Something to let you know a major event is approaching rather than just "surprise! you're collapsed!"

Don't you think that would be a problem if Zemina collapsed because the automated system decided it was not a good expansion? That would be a design flaw. From the score of the Hudson players, they seemed to agree that it was a pretty important expansion. I also believe it was their headline for their reddit this week. Besides, if we couldn't expand that location, it shouldn't have said that expansion will succeed unless the opposition outscores us. There are many problems with the results, to many to think it's suppose to happen that way.

We have ticked the situation and wait for a proper response from the devs.

Unfortunately that's all we can do for now. I'm not 100% confident my interpretation of it is correct, but it's the one that makes the most sense to me based on other factions in similar situations.
