Zero Thrusters and no AFM - how do I get moving?

My Python has taken a battering in a warzone; 11% hull and lots of module damage. But my thrusters are shot at 0% and I can't move or jump into supercruise to go and get repairs.

Any advice on how I fix things would be much appreciated.

Reboot Repair in the function tab, conveniently located adjacent to the Self Destruct.

Make sure you click the right one first.

It can take multiple attempts to get reboot to work and even when it has you might need to fix something that breaks en route so reduce power requirements as much as possible and keep an eye on your life support.

I very nearly scrolled down to the bottom and unplugged the power plant!!

Did a reboot and got 2% back for thrusters so managed to drag the Gopher back to port; cashed in 300k combat bonds for the 400k repair build, I'm sure there's something wrong in that equation!!

You should change your ship from Python to FAS, FDL, Vulture, Viper or other fighter type ship. Python is not a very good fighter until you get DDT+4/5.

What's your rebuy?

If it's close to 400k then you have a point. If it's not, then I think a "thankyou" might be in order ;)

How cool is that reboot sequence, though?

Indeed.
Next time don't lose your Thrusters until you made at least 500k in Combat Bonds :D

PS.
If you want save Credits, temporarily equip an AFMU (comes with full Repair Ammo), undock again and let it work on your most expensive Ship components.
After you're done, sell it again and only repair the remaining things.

Want to be a total cheapskate? :D
Out of Repair Ammo? Replace the AFMU with another one of different type - again ships with full Ammo and currently you get 100% cashback on your used-up AFMU that you depleted.
Repeat until everthing but Hull and PowerPlant is at 100%.

(above tricks & lessons learned back in the old days, when Ship Repairs were far more expensive than they are today)

Cannot believe what I just read.

Actually, that's totally in keeping with the rest of the game.

Yeah, some very dodgy dealings going on there!!! I like it;)

In a thick, nearly incomprehensible Indian accent:

"Thank you for contacting the Faulcon DeLacy helpdesk. I am very sorry you are having this problem with your craft. Have you tried rebooting your craft's systems?"
