Zirconium? Mine or Surface prospect it?

Hello, commanders, I was wanting to know if it was faster to mine zirconium from a ship or to go onto a planet and get it with the SRV.

By the way, does anyone know any planets with a higher percentage than 4% for zirconium.

Most of my zirconium has come from SRV prospecting. Occasionally it appears on the Mission Board as a reward.

I rarely recall finding it while mining, so I'd load up the SRV if I were you. Can't help with the planets though, sorry.

Better to surface prospect. At least you can use the wave scanner to find mesoderites/metallic meteors. If you mine you are taking pot luck

Anyone who's looking for a decent amount of Zirconium should check out Njikan 1 in the Njikan system. Zirconium is 4% on that planet and seems to be found at a decent rate. Thanks for the help CMDRS fly safe. o7

junga 14B 1.5 tellurium
hip 13750 1.7 tin
gliese 58 4.1 zirconium
junga 4.7 selenium
junga 5.7 germanium
hip 13750 1.1 anitimony

Just check the planets in those systems and you'll find the ones I'm talking about. If anyone has better percentages for those then feel free to add them.

I believe that Liz Ryders planet has a lot of good stuff at decent % of a multitude of materials.
