Zoo Tycoon Zoo Problems and Content that needs adding

Firstly i used to play the original on pc years and years ago, i dont like the fact you no longer drag and select your own exhibits completly ! i want to organise my zoo how i like and i dont understand why games go backwards ? what if i wanted a zoo that was half tropical ? half exhibits tropical medium .... then that half of my zoo would look boring and the same ! but not on the old ones ! i would simply change exhibit size , shape , terrains , where the water is , trees are ! come on frontier add some more customisation ! .

my main point here is the zoo limit best be getting removed ! or expanded drastically then further expanded as the games grows etc ! a 10 exhibit zoo sucks, Doncaster wildlife park even has more than 10 !!! embarrassing.

but further when is anyone going to take note that a bear is practically a bear ? a giraffe is most definitly a giraffe ! and a rhino is a rhino ! i do like the depth of species a little but a grizzly bear looks almost the same as a himalayan brown bear so its pointless ...... to back this point up where is the

Zebra ? Bison , Buffalo , Crocodiles , Alligators , Llama, Camel, Penguin, Wolfs , Panthers , Leopards, Cheetahs , Hyenas, Gorillas, Normal Panda, Koala Bear, Kangaroo, Seals, Walrus, Shark ( Aqauraiums for fish ? ) Expand the mini exhibit and be able to build Aviaries !! Eagles , Falcons , other birds of prey ? More parrots. Ostriches, Baboons, snake cages for cobras and other venemous snakes. Mini exhibits for spiders ? more lizard variants and types theres hundreds. scorpians, a lot more enviroment stuff, more walls and paths ! after 1 week of playing you have seen every stlye of zoo ? this is 2015 ! xbox one ! next generation and there is 8 colours of path ! look at the old old old sims games ! 100 + carpets ??? we get 8 paths ...... 4 benches and 4 trash cans .... whats happening . so much potential but needs one huge patch adding zoo limit , animals ! and 100 % some customisation !!! PLEASE take some action on it !!!!!

The developers got their money, and don't care about this game anymore.
I suppose they just secretly laugh at people like you and me who are not satisfied with their crappy game.

I am afraid this was true last year. I doubt they will do anything now. Look at the post titled "Zoo limits". Frontier promised to get back to us about how to maximise the park within the zoo limit 12 months ago - just some general tips. They never even delivered on that.....

Fact is this seems to have mainly been an exercise in showing off the graphics of the Xbox One at launch.....the game mechanics are against you as the guests get quickly bored with the small amount of exhibits you can build within the limit. ( oh the irony! )

Reading bertween the lines of the replies Frontier have given is that they only "developed" the game for Microsoft. So I think Microsoft called the shots on how the final game was going to be. My guess is that as it got closer to the XB1 launch microsoft decided they really wanted to showcase the graphics of their new console so instructed Frontier to sacrifice Zoo size for extreme graphic fidelity whilst keeping the framerate up. Frontier probably had plans for the zoo's to be bigger, hence the large amount of land you can actually build on, you just can only fill a quarter of the space with anything before the limit kicks in and prevents you building anything else. The result? You end up with a game not necessarily aimed more at the kiddies - there is real simulation depth there behind all the cuteness - just a game that only the really young audience out there can really be satisfied with due to its building limits.

Sorry but the game is dead in the water development wise. What you see is what you get. Such a shame and such a missed opportunity.

And Frontier Developements? If you are even bothering to monitor this thread anymore - shame on you for not bothering to deliver on your promise to provide those game tips - you could have at least done that. Yes - You got the money from Microsoft as you developed the game for them, as you so often pointed out - but did your responsibilty really end there? The money that ended up in your pockets didn't really come from Microsoft - it ultimately came from us - the public who bought the game with their hard earned money whome you have treated so shabbily in these Zoo Tycoon forums. Shame on you.
