Zoo Tycoon Zoo Tycoon a Waste of Money (Xbox One)

My wife bought Zoo Tycoon back in December and was sorely disappointed in it. There is no point paying $60 in a game that you can complete in 45 mins. The Zoo Limit casts a bad shadow on this developer and made us feel like our money was stolen.

I have been browsing these forums over the last couple of months and have yet to see the Zoo Limit recognized as a problem with anyone associated with the developer. Also, I have reached out to them on twitter to no avail.

Please, if your considering buying this game save your money. Although my wife loved what little time she put into it there is no point due to this limit. Regardless of who's fault it is and if it was rushed this needs to be addressed. Selling a product at this current level is easily an immoral business practice.

I think it is worth to contact Microsoft Studios (trough xbox.com it seems), which is publisher. Probably FD is contractually forbidden to talk about issues or updates.

edit: worth to mention Michael Brookes post about this http://forums.frontier.co.uk/showpost.php?p=284657&postcount=61

For me that answer is pretty clear, I would translate that to: We are saving the upgrade for an expansion but we can't talk till Microsoft does.

That is not what it says at all and is solely your interpretation. It's pretty obvious that whatever the issues are it's Microsoft you have to speak to.

Im not saying this is a for sure thing but actually the expansion thing and adding more to the zoo limit would make sense. Why would you have such a large map for no reason? It doesn't make sense.

A marketing/press ploy?

It is probably me just being cynical but adjusting the map size to less than half its size because of the low zoo limit would have been immediately obvious in the gamescon previews and early mag reviews. Why draw such attention to a weak point of the game?

It fooled some of the reviewers. I remember reading a pre-release review that stated 'the large map size points to being able to build a huge zoo of your dreams'.....

More and more this game smacks of smoke screens. For example - the fact that the Janitors do not empty the bins. A bug? Or a way to distract ( especially the young players ) you from lack of depth elsewhere and keep you busy?

Large map size that is impossible to fill in a practical way. ( You could spread everything out but then the game mechanics such as coverage of restrooms, vendors make this almost impossible to create a successful zoo. Plus it looks just terrible ). An oversight on the developers part, or a way to disguise the low Zoo limit for as long as possible?

You completed the game in forty five minutes? I wish I was good enough to run through all the campaign missions that fast and unlock all achievements and animals and so on and so on.
