¡Bienvenidos! Welcome to Zoológico Magnífico, a zoo that pays homage to the biodiversity of Latin America.
Fiesta Village
Your day of fun begins at Fiesta Village, a community of amazing people devoted to caring for wildlife. The town surrounds a massive pond where our flamboyance of flamingos flocks. You can become friends with the donkeys and chickens in our petting area. The Casa de Arañas is home to many spiders from across Latin America. There's even a collection of frogs and a garden full of butterflies! Have you packed a lunch? You can enjoy it at our picnic area. You can also grab a souvenir at Wild Gifts or Rosa's Fiesta Supplies.
Mexican Desert
We hope you can withstand the heat! Trek through the Mexican Desert to find animals who certainly can! Our herds of pronghorn antelopes and bighorn sheep intermingle on their own rocky mesa. You can also see our peccaries wallowing in the mud to cool off. You may even hear our coyotes howl on occasion. There are plenty of smaller creatures as well, such as armadillos, prairie dogs, axolotls, rattlesnakes, scorpions, and gila monsters.
Amazon
For a more humid experience, the Amazon will have you weaving through the jungle to make all sorts of new discoveries. You can encounter ocelots prowling in the trees, caimans lurking in the water, or bush dogs playing together. If you prefer cuteness over carnivores, then you can enter the habitat shared by our capybaras and capuchin monkeys. Our white-faced sakis and three-toed sloths share a habitat as well. Be sure to keep an eye out for our shy anteaters as well, and be sure to stop by to see our titan beetles, green iguanas, boa constrictors, and giant centipedes. You can also sit down to enjoy a nice meal at the Canopy Café or grab a light sweet treat at Caiman Cupcakes.
Andean Slopes
If it's still too hot for your liking, you can ascend the Andean Slopes and take in the view. You can see cougars patrolling their territory and spectacled bears climbing and playing. You can also befriend our llamas and alpacas or grab a bite at Highland Hot Dogs.
Grasslands
If heights aren't for you, make your way to the Grasslands to find animals that roam the open plains. You may catch our maned wolf pups playing, our baird's tapirs going for a swim, or our greater rheas running around aimlessly. You can also grab something to commemorate your fun day at Tapir Treasures.
