Zoom in loop bug

you mean this? (turns out there where to icy body's really close next to the gasgiant once i scanned those it worked normally again.)
for me it happened in Preae Eug ZG-J b36-2 (Just 1k from the bubble)
if anyone can visit to check if it happeneds to them too then maybe we have a way to reproduce it. :)

had it happen in beta, posted it here, didn't report.

I've seen this at least once in 2.3, could get round it by using one or two step zooms first (presumably something about calculating the next auto-zoom level for bodies that are close), not reported it though.

I've had it a few times, moving the ship to a new position has solved it every time so far, although that may be more about reloading the FSS Scanner Screen than the actual position of the ship.

The times I saw it in Beta were when two signals were in exactly the same position, which Frontier worked around by other means. Possibly it can still happen if they're (almost) exactly lined up relative to you, which is why moving fixes it.

I find that if this starts to happen (i.e. the zoom-in seems to revert immediately) that the use of the "stepped zoom" controls sorts it out - you can either incrementally zoom in or out then using adaptive zoom-in resolves the signals (well, produces a solid circle in the field of view as well as the main "item").

It happened to me twice. The second time I found out that the planet i was looking for was obscured by the secondary sun.
So just fly a bit in the right direction and the body will be displayed in the FSS.

Had it happen to me a few times. I thought it was just a really far-off object but nope, it's bugged. Protip: Don't try to brute force this, the UI gets wonky if you zoom to much.
