Hey guys just got some pics I dug up on the internet to show how far modern zoos have came.

The point of these photos is to showcase how far understanding animals needs and requirements have come. I know some people prefer to not see any animals in zoos at all. In a perfect world that would be great but as animal numbers decrease in the wild there’s simply no other option in some cases.

Thank you for sharing the pictures! I really like to see that evolvement. It is especially recongizable in city zoos and older zoos like the one closest to my home. Beautiful buildings, but the older enclosures look a bit sad with a lot of concrete and tiles. But you can already see the newer or renovated enclosures where they really make an effort to improve.

Yeah my local zoo is the same way. Although they’ve updated most exhibits to a much better and modern build. I also stumbled across some extinct animals in zoo photos.
