"Zurigan Peterson Golf Oscar Lima"

This is something all the big station officers say when you are coming in to hail for your docking request...I know it translates to some kind of phonetic alphabet, something like Z.P.G.O.L

But I have no idea what this specific phrase translates to in the context of hailing a new arrival with regards to docking requests. Any help translating this Shorthand to English, please? I mean, I can for the most part translate the Phonetic to Shorthand, just not the Shorthand to English.

Didnt used to be possible to change how it referred to you as the first letters of your ships name? I loved it when mine was 'whisky whisky whisky'

There's somewhere in the options where you can change what the traffic controllers call you by... whether it's the first three letters of your CMDR name, your ship name, or your ID plate. "CMDR name" is the default, because not everybody sets ship names and IDs. They will, however, always call out the brand name of the ship you're flying.

Edit: sorry, Zieman, didn't see your post. 😅
