ZWED's Zoos - Currently: Tharmachati Zoo & Resort

Nostalgic, to say the least. Good to see you here and showing, Iben. It does remind me of Jannick's park, I can see the inspo!

Great shots and great building.

Time to revive this topic! In the latest episode of Tharmachati I finished up the walkthrough orangutan habitat of the Dahlia Orangutan Experience. Really happy with some of the pictures I took of that.

Excellent Zoo - but as I have asked you before - how does the climbing structure in the middle of the beautifully landscaped path down yonder - not let the Orangutan climb down onto that path and escape - just wondering, for I wanted to do this but did not want to create APe-steria in the park - great zoo BTW

It's nice to see this thread is active again after such an amazing update!

To those who haven't watched the episode (or the previous ones), I fully recommend to do so! This is in my opinion the most inspiring zoo at the moment.
❤️

Aaaah, you meant ingame! I thought you meant like "how would it work in real life". In game as long as there's an obstructing item at the bottom, the orangutan have no reason to climb down and just don't consider it as something they can climb down to.

It's really cool and I am still not sure what I would put there - Did you put an object there? - Can't see it is all - I tend not to use Orangutan's - so this gives me more push to use them - thanks for the answer and I'll share my exploits with you layer - regards G :)(y)

Can be anything. I have a bunch of plants at the bottom that they can't navigate through. But as you can also see, the bottom part of the post is covered by a limestone piece. That's not a climbable piece, so they can't climb from that point onwards, so climbing down isn't seen as an option by the game.

Oh - thanks for the info - I'll try, just have to build myself up for it - I tend not to use apes for some reason - but now you have given me something to try, for I really love your concept and execution - thanks for that, regards G :)🐒🦧

Wow, those last two pics are so gorgeous. All in all it's a really inspiring zoo and I love the orang utan and otter enclosure.
Since I've just started my Asian section (or started again after a long time), I might use some of your buildings for inspiration because it's not so easy to build South Asian inspired buildings and I think your videos really help for this (I won't copy your buildings though ;) ).
