It looks to me like an asset parade. And why would I hand out my money for nothing now when the game is supposed to be F2P?
the pledge is to help funding the project not to buy the game. If you are not interested don't pledge, is as simple as that.It looks to me like an asset parade. And why would I hand out my money for nothing now when the game is supposed to be F2P?
They can get funding the proper way without begging for donations. Like real businesses.the pledge is to help funding the project not to buy the game. If you are not interested don't pledge, is as simple as that.
You don't have to like, you don't have to post about it's money for nothing ? Like I said Elite was a Kickstarter and if everyone had your attitude we wouldn't have elite ??It looks to me like an asset parade. And why would I hand out my money for nothing now when the game is supposed to be F2P?
like you can avoid to do charity without the need to tell others what to do.They can get funding the proper way without begging for donations. Like real businesses.
If it’s for the first DLC then using the phrase base game is deeply misleading.Shame you didn't research what you are denigrating.
"Assuming the game is funded enough to cover our main feature objectives, we are planning to release it as truly Free to Play, without any form of micro-transactions. Cosmetic items will never cost the player money. Ongoing funding will be covered via the sale of DLCs, from additional ships to full story-driven campaigns.
If we fail to meet the required funding target, and additional funding cannot be sourced elsewhere, then we'll pivot to putting a box price on Early Access as a last resort."
That £25 level covers the first DLC which (as implied) is expected in March 2025.
Higher levels include more DLCs - unfortunately £500 for lifetime pass is far too much for me.
If there was so much negativity 11 years ago then Elite would not exist - I blame SC for muddying the waters.
P.S. KS launched only 2 days ago (?) now at:
£61,185
pledged of £65,000 goal
I’m going to advise not dragging the Elite KickStarter example into this KickStarter, it won’t help on balance.Like I said Elite was a Kickstarter and if everyone had your attitude we wouldn't have elite ??
I did. In some of the rewards ‘Base game free‘ is included, even though in the FAQ it appears the base game will be free whether you pledged or not.As I said, you didn't actually read what was on the Kickstarter.
Where have you been?...And do you have a note?Same here! I also noticed Burr has done a video on it, but I haven't had a chance to watch it yet. This definitely has my interest now, though I hope the devs provide a NPC crew for those of us who aren't into multiplayer crews. I don't want to be all alone on a giant starship like I am in Space Engineers...
I like wandering about in a grouping of stars and planets that I can find in a book or sky map or go outside and look up; show the grand-kids a star in the sky and tell them we can fly there now if you want.Plenty of folk wanting a one to one scale of the universe it seems ?
Yeah, look at all the great things the shareholders did for Elite. Anyways, I missed out on ED-KSThey can get funding the proper way without begging for donations. Like real businesses.
KS has finished alreadyAre there many ppl here who have downloaded and play the Demo ?
I'll be DL it soon and if it plays as well as the vids and tutorial show, I may KS it.
Have a nice day
OOPS ... I guess i missed the boat ... maybe EAKS has finished already
