I'm currently at Seeker's Rest (outside of the bubble) but shall be heading toward Guardian space at some point.
They probably can't find a good way to stop EDH and EDO commanders landing on the same (EDH style) planet and EDO commanders getting out on foot murdering each other.. You could also have EDH commanders running over EDO on foot commanders with the SRV or blast them from space. IMO, it does make sense as I'm not sure how one could avoid that particular situation. I'd imagine that for PEGI reasons this just can't be allowed to happen.
So I am a bit confused here, how can this be done? Or maybe I dont understand what this actually means.
If you own odyssey, you will already have and be using the Ody client. If you don't own odyssey, download the Horizons 4.0 client today if you don't already have it (as that is the same files). You will then get up and running more quickly after U14 drops.
If you're already using Odyssey, then you already have 4.0 client downloaded. If you're using 3.8 and haven't taken advantage of trying the free upgrade to 4.0 Horizons, then you'll need to download the 4.0 client.

You have it already if you're playing in Odyssey as Odyssey uses the 4.0 client.

Hoping this patch also fixes the missing points of light for planets within all star systems over a certain LS distance from them and all LY away, it breaks the immersion.
It's a pretty safe assumption, unless Frontier is also trying to kill the live version.
A toast to the bubble we know, as it might be a little different come tomorrow.

I play EDO so I have Odyssey 4.0 installed and in the game EDO shows as 4.0.
When I launch EDH (Horizons) in the game EDH shows as 3.8.
Tomorrow is UD 14 going to change my EDH 3.8 install to EDH 4.0?
It won't be.
You’ll be able to access the live galaxy by Odyssey and Horizons 4.0, and access the Legacy galaxy by Horizons 3.8.
Open your game and in the main splash screen in the bottom left corner, you;'ll see a line stating the version of Elite Dangerous you have installed.
