Elite Dangerous Update 14 Release Schedule

I've not applied the update yet but I've already discovered the majority of my hard earned ARX are gone.
It seems they've been replaced by a number of shiny new paint jobs, body kits and (most interestingly) a cactus and aloe vera plant for the cockpit!

Is the exobiology upgrade previously mentioned?

I'll get my coat - the thick, fluffy warm one, good in a vacuum.

Please tell me, what are the system requirements of the game for a computer today in order to play without lags and brakes? What should be the speed of the Internet so that there are no bugs in the open game and the game in a private group?

Im running an old 1070 with Virgin 1130mbs, no issues, sure a small slow down at times on surface CZs but nothing major.

Wonder if there will be a cooldown for this function. If not, this might be a fast ticket to orbit :D
It pretty much is. There is no cooldown. Unless you have an incredibly slow HDD, it's faster to logout and do Stuck Recovery vs. manually taking off.

This seems like an issue worth looking at.

@devs can we lock this post down. It's not helping anyone that were not able to properly track what's going on via other posts. The OP this post is complete and this is not relevent anymore.

pretty much at random, people with low systems do play well whereas some with high end dont, and vice-versa, it is a lottery
in my case my recommended system used to play poorly, and now a 3070 still have issues dipping below 25 fps, so yeah.

and (someone correct me if im wrong) with the kind of connection frontiers do, if theres ssomeone with a terrible internet in your instance, even if you are playing inside googleplex, you might have issues (but someone correct me if im wrong)

That is a fairly complex issue with how Elite's networking is built - that's peer to peer for ya. You should have a full-fledged fixed public IP internet connection with you being in control of open ports on your side (and people these days have hundreds of megabits of throughput - only it's really ports 80/443, mostly good for watching pr0n and youtube, with the ISP controlling pretty much everything else), and each player in your group should have a clear low-latency route to each other. The connection speed is a tertiary factor to this.

i think someone hard landed on hutton orbital with his free anaconda,it landed so hard that whole landing pad collapsed deep into station. that why they keep delaying the update deployment so hard. because they need repair damn free-anaconda beer pub that was under landing pad.

yeah let players buy the thargoid tech and kill thargs with their own weapon win win.
Well… Update 14 made the dream come true!

Wow, you should call it the Dropbear!! 😯😂🩲 ...

Seriously though, ye shouldn't keep sharing the "joke" about a free Anaconda at Hutton Orbital, it'll waste the time of anybody who falls for it,( which is probably what ye want!!)😯😂

For the record, in case anybody doesn't know, there's no way to get free ships in the game (short of everybody's starting Sidewinder), and you certainly won't get one of the dearest, most powerful ships in the game for free!

The cruelest thing about the Hutton "joke" is the wild goose chase it sends people on and how much of their time it wastes!

Hutton Orbital is an outpost which only small and medium ships can land at, that takes about two hours in Supercruise to get to, and the only notable thing available at the station is a rare mug (that's not worth much)!! 😯😂😀🤘

Not strictly true; there have been various time-limited events giving away free ships. I've got a free Vulture, Imperial Eagle and two Couriers stashed away; there have probably been others I missed.

There are no permanent ways, though, and definitely no Anaconda.

Normal AA was not delivered, as well as fresh FSR, new content for the Odyssey was not added (Targwar is the usual Horizons). The war with the Targons is for those who will overcome the grindwall. And what for those who prefer to explore? Nothing new.

Well headsets have certainly gotten better in that regard. Unfortunately ED has always been a pixelly mess in VR for me, regardless of what I did to the headset, compositor, or in-game scaling and resolution...
Strange. I run a Reverb G2 on a 3080 (so lots of demand with lots of power). Look into a) turning off FSR which defaults on, and b) openxr/opencomposite)
