Elite Dangerous Update 14 Release Schedule

Give the guys and girls a break. I remember loading Elite from cassette (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cassette_tape) and the ONLY 'update' occurred when we advanced to using 5.25" floppy disk (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Floppy_disk). Compared to what gaming was like back then the idea of what we play today (or maybe tomorrow ;-) is stupendous. I know tech advances exponentially but when I pause and think of all the connectivity in EDO it's just mind boggoling that it ever works. And yes I do have more crashes than I appreciate even with a very recent gaming rig but it's a phenomenal game.
Aside from that use the downtime for something positive....View attachment 334437
+1 like for the post. +2 likes for the Lego Dolphin!

Some media outlets actually published articles at the original release time of 3pm. I won't mention the name of the publication or link it, but the late breaking delays didn't get sent to all media apparently. If you go looking, you might find SPOILERS you have been warned.

Just had YouTube pop up a notification for one of them, annoyingly.
It's okay, they are Frontiers special pets.
They have links on the front page...

humanity used not to have electricity, but this is no excuse when your power goes off, i don't get the point?
we are way past cassete/floppy disk times

sometimes things go wrong yes and a delayed update on hours is no big of a deal(the memes are way more entertaining anyway), but "oh back in the days the internet was 256kbps" has nothing to do with this

256kbps? Mine was -1024. And uphill both ways.

Is there an issue/delay with the upate? Anyone else not being offered the option to update to U14?

I've been at work today, just got home, switched on PC and launched game to update, I was expecting it to say "Update" for Odyssey, but my launcher is still referencing U13 and when I start Odyssey, it just shows a "servers are under maintenance" message and jumps back to the launcher

Not read any other posts, so not sure if there is a delay or an issue, anyone update me please?
