it's not delivering any critical services
, point is that it impacts the perception of competence and professionalism, if it is happening regularly then it points to a significant failure in how they are developing software.

It means your eyes aren't having to readjust constantly. If you're looking at stars, its easier to see them against warmer colors. In star chart apps, you'll always see dark fonts, usually red, cause brighter colors would make looking up at the night sky more difficult, as your eyes would have to adjust every time you went from looking at your phone screen to the night sky. That's why our HUD is orange - my guess is that an all red HUD would just look weird, so they opted for a nice, warm orange. I actually turn my HUD brightness basically all the way down because of this. The bright orange is just TOO bright if left at default, imo.

I can only assume it’s not a British government entity, unless you’re the secret contractor they get in to provide the special ‘crash bug’ to ensure each HM website does go down at exactly the right time
Seriously, it’s just a game. Whether it’s poor or not, it’s not worth getting annoyed about…it’s a lesson most long term Elite Cmdrs have come to accept.
Welll you might as well forget the patch today as in 30minutes , england playes wales in the world cup , that means there is no chance they will be working on the patch.
It is a game, not an essential service.
I've got 30+ years working in I.T. for multiple government entities. Have witnessed outages lasting days or even weeks. A few hours is nothing to write home about. Complex systems fail.
I did seem to find it somewhere. Will be installed on update 35. That's for certain.
I think you overestimate how much the average game developer is into the football.
