Elite Dangerous Update 14 Release Schedule

Only worked for me if I chose the ED: Beta download. The launcher I got choosing ED: Life Time Pass was the old one.

Where do I find the Beta download? I get the old launcher with my lifetime pass too...

When I click start I get a spinny person. Which is odd as I don't get to pick a game mode. I parked my ship nice and snug on a moon next to a quiet amonia world and now I'm worried...

I parked my good old Cobra Mk III over the ammonia world in the system the Taranis anomaly was heading to. We'll find out in a bit what happened...

I am getting a newer version of the launcher is available, I download and install, start it up and get there is a newer version of the launcher is available. Tried uninstalling and same thing.

Tried again after a few mins, took longer to install, but this time it worked.

"Live" Servers are just as dead.
You can only log into Orange Sidewinders and the like.

Another way of getting Steam to update the Elite client is to right-click Elite: Dangerous -> Properties -> Updates, click on Automatic Updates, set to High Priority. Exit the Steam client completely, start it again, I got Elite to update that way.

Downloading the launcher from the store worked. Thanks to all who suggested it. Now let's see if the upgrade works!

Edit: Well, it says it's working. I've even had a few kilobytes of data - wait, something's happening now. Solid wall of beige in Task Manager. Yay.

Try logging in on the Frontier Store page, and re-downloading the client from your "My Downloadable Products" tab. That worked for me. Game is updating.

I've now installed the new client 72 times and its still saying i'm out of date and need a new version.....

At what point should we consider there might be a problem with the launcher update?

I've done the legacy legacy trick from my account page too ..
.. downloading at a decent clip. Is this just a ruse to flatten down the update day server load?

The working launcher is 140MB, if the one you are downloading is 44MB it's the old one, check your account for an alternate version (Mercenary Edition worked for me but the LEP version did not.
