Walkthrough Exhibits: What's Next?

Yeah, understandable. It wouldn't be that exciting for many people, but I think that it'd be a good choice
Here is my prediction for what we could get. First what we should get in Update 1.13
The Giant Malaysian stick insect and the 3 beetles(Scarab, titan, and Goliath) could be exhibited in both the classic and the new walk-through exhibit. They can fly too albeit in short bursts. Also, I would like to of course see animal talks come to the walk-through exhibits. Where the educator walks through and has an insect land on their shoulder during the talk(The butterflies and the insects mentioned above). Also, expand the inter-species thing, let the titan beetle have IE bonus with the New World Butterflies.
As for DLC, I'm not totally sure. Personally, I think to coincide with the new mechanic of flying beetles, I would LOVE to see some more flying insects like the Hercules, Elephant or Rhinoceros beetle, giant long-legged Katydid, and some moths like the Atlas and Luna Moth. Maybe also we could get small mammals like the Sugar Glider or Prevost's Squirrel or a small primate like a Marmoset or Aye Aye. I want birds too but We should work our way up and let the Frontier get the mechanics just right.

I’m gonna go ahead and suggest this can also be our opportunity to have koi ponds.
This time the walkthrough path is a bridge going over the pond.
Koi of many different color textures and other larger fish that would be appropriate for a garden pond. Have feeding points, heaters, waterfalls and whatever is required in the ponds to act as enrichment items. We can feel free to decorate the pond to our hearts content with plants and decorations.

I honestly dont like that at all.
Imo kois might be the only fully aquatic animal besides the manatee i really want and swimming and diving is allready in the game without any of the problems of free flying animals.
I dont see why kois should work as habitat animals and i honestly just hope that if we get them we will get them that way

They can swim in looped animations and you can have schools of them swimming together similar to how I imagine butterfly’s will fly around in groups

Imo if we get kois we should be able to just put them into whatever body of water we want.
Thats not just more interesting and fun, but also opens up new dimensions for modders, who till now work with the aquatic animals, but arnt quite there yet, something only frontier will possibly be able to archieve

You not liking it doesn't make it less interesting or fun. There's currently no reason to believe Frontier will ever add fully aquatic animals; Spiderhawk's idea is perfectly valid.
I'd rather any and all fish were exhibit animals. To me that is simpler.
Some birds I'd like to see in the walkthrough exhibits are pigeons and doves. I've been to a number of walkthrough areas in various zoos that incorporate at least one species of pigeon/dove, and they're beautiful animals that are often overlooked.
Probably one of the more stunning examples, the Nicobar pigeon. These guys are actually the closest living relatives of the dodo!
The diamond dove is one of the smallest dove species, and another one to add to Australia's roster.
There's also the bleeding heart dove, a vast array of gorgeous fruit dove species, and our vastly underappreciated feral city pigeons and their colour morphs to consider, too. The Victoria crowned pigeon, on the other hand, I would prefer to see as a habitat animal.

But in all seriousness id love some smaller aquariums as exhibits. Something like Piranhas, discus or cichlids would work pretty good as exhibits imo. Maybe even some stuff thats a little more out there like mudskippers.
Also would love to be able to build a big aquarium for the amazonian giants arapaima, red tail cats and co, but those guys would likely need some kind of aquatic expansion

I've been wondering more about more potential + mixed-species WE animals and I think what I'd like to see would be:
More butterflies/moths:
Glasswing butterfly
Paper kite butterfly
Red admiral butterfly
Atlas moth
African moon moth
And then a bunch of small birds that could all be mixed in together. Again probably done in batches of 5? I'm thinking a bunch of fruit doves:
Pink-headed
Wompoo
Rose-crowned
Black-banded
Golden
Orange
Geelvink
Red-naped
Jambu
Superb
Some other doves/pigeons, though these are slightly less likely to be able to be such easy 'recolours' and might have more substantial differences in shape and size than a lot of the fruit doves:

Maybe macaws, and there are some really amazing starlings out there, probably a bunch of small hornbills, even more butterflies/moths, and I believe I've been to a spider walkthrough at London Zoo which involved a bunch of orb weavers iirc? Definitely the golden orb-weaver, which I think would be absolutely fantastic for a WE even if not in a mixed one!

Sloths are definitely habitat animals in my opinion. There not really a reason for them not to be. It just seems weird to me to go the exhibit market tab to purchase a sloth
Sloths are a difficult one to approach because there is plenty of sloths in exhibit style rooms with a viewing panel and of course plenty in much larger diverse habitats
