Hey mhwlng.
Just to let you know the same thing has happened again. I was playing all eveing without issue. I took a break and closed Elite. Came back and non of the Elite stream deck buttons are working again. Not sure what is happening there. It just occurred around 11am UTC, then as you know I spent all afternoon trying to fix it. Was working after delete and reinstals as we discussed... and now it's stopped working again.

I don't want to delete and reinstall just now, i'll have to look at it tomorrow. But something strange is occurring, and I have changed nothing at all.

Hi all,

I was using streamDeck for Elite Dangerous when Odyssey was launched with the plugin and a full set of icons which were fully functionnal...
Then I stop playing ELite for a while and I came back to it 2 weeks ago... but the plug in no longer fully interact with Elite Dangerous, I update the plugin as mention on GitHub... but the problem is still there, I mean :
  • Command of the stream deck button no longer be recognized by Elite, I mean if I hit landing gear streamdeck button nothing happen in Elite
  • But status are well capture like landing gear up or down, the plugin capture status change properly and icon/picture of the buton are set accordingling (if I retract my landing gear via my HOTAS for example)
  • Side point may be, I also notice that streamdeck no longer see and then swith to my ELite profil when Elite apps is (borderless) full screen

I already try to launch streamdeck as admin but nothing change :-( I also think about some side apps that may be block somehow plugin connection with Elite : SteamVR & Oculus that launch automaticly after Elite starts even if my VR headset is off...

Any one have encounter the same issue ? I need help :) Many thanks for your support/help :)

Here some of my conf spec to help :

please check the plugin log file for errors. (see github for more information where the file is)

all 4 bindings must say 'custom'

if you play horizon AND odyssey, the plugin will only use the odyssey bindings.

if you play the new horizon 4.0 then you need to update the plugin to 2.5.1 (see github for update procedure)

Many thanks for the advice !

I use plugin version 2.5.1, let say for the moment I only use Odyssey.

For the log file I didn't see intels on github but I found logs file folder for plugins (C:\Users\XXXX\AppData\Roaming\Elgato\StreamDeck\logs). I didn't see log file with elite.log name, but some StreamDeck0.log with some error but I'm really not sure it is related to elite plugin, se by yourself : ESDObsConnectionManager::CreateSocket::<lambda_xxxxxxxxx>::eek:perator ()(): SLOBS returned error Connexion refusée

What do you mean or refer to when you say 'All 4 bindings must be custom' ? are you talking of the 4 controls sections into Elite Dangerous Odyssey below ? So I should understand here on foot is not customed so this is the problem right !? I should then update one of the 'on foot' control within this section with a keyboard key right !? and then it will change to custom ? and then the plugin should work not only for the on foot part but also for the flight and SRV controls ? I will try and come back here tomorrow to let you know :)

Ok so I manage it in 3 steps :
1 - just change from X55 to custom (without mapping any new keyboard key) -> ko
2 - Add a new key mapping on "on foot" controls (g fro grenade) -> ko
3 - Reboot my PC and try again -> partially ok :)

I mean by partially ok because :
  • most of the controls seems to work like Nav Panel, Comm Panel, Role Panel...
  • but for example head light and Night vision didn't despite they work fine via my HOTAS

Ok but I was able to bind some key of my keyboard on both Head Light and Night Vision and then it works fine on stream deck plugin... So I assume I should have secondary keyboard mapping on each function I put on the stream deck right :) I do not know what happen since my last successfull use of your plugin 1 or 2 years ago. I didn't remember if I was having all my functions already keyboard mapped and then in between the games updates reset them... but ok I've got the solution to get them back to life (y)

I tried to assign a sound file to the Heat Sink Alarm Button, but after choosing a sound file, the Plugin still shows "No file..."
Anything I can do on my side?

I tried to solve it with a multi action (I used the function to get a sounding and animated "Flight Assist OFF" button, which is flashing and sounding while FA is OFF, but for the Heat Sink this won't work, because I can only use static buttons in Multi Actions and Static Button does not have the Heat Sink Option ;)
