I have a lot of fun in beta, i spent more hours on it than on all other games in last 2 years. It is proof how good this game is.
Guys talking about refund? You taken a small risk, this is only a few $, you havent see a final game yet and you want refund? Pls, give me a brake.
Sorry, take a cool, drink a tea, go to your girls or go to garage fix car. Game will be good. Relax.

This.! Dont care if conection or not.......so long they can deliver this option.
That implies the 2500 posts have all been 3 people complaining. Obviously thousands of people are mad about this, so perhaps you should create a few more posts saying how much you "don't care" about all of this.

How lovely they feel better, great. In the mean time they insult the dev's, spoil release for those that are still invested in the project and ruin a once great forum. Selfish and childish.

The dev's have heard, you did your jobs as beta testers excellently.

That's a pretty weak argument like most of the others. The only stronger argument is that some people will not be able to play. But i guess some people are not totally honest there which leaves the question open, why offline is so important. It is obvious that only few people posting here have insufficient connectivity.
Edit: An UMTS stick is sufficient to play online. I played with stick myself for 2 years. SWTOR and others and it was perfect. Only a bit more expensive.

Nobody at FD forced anyone to pay hundreds of pounds for ED .. thats the point ...
This is circular argument .. I had the same argument last year with the whole Microsoft E3 debacle .. Totally blown out of proportion as per usual ..
People made the same arguments back then ... 'How will I play the game 30 years from now' 30 years from now I will be either 70 or dead, chances are regardless of either I wont still be playing video games. Its a ridiculous argument to make in reality it really is, and its a cheap one at that.
Im not going to say any more on the subject as last year I left a well loved forum due to this singular argument which was completely daft, I just hope this does not spiral out of control and that the majority who are not happy with this, ask for some sort of refund, and then go quietly into the night.
If this gets stirred up too much it will get overblown into epic proportions which could well hurt the game for EVERYONE including people who work at FD who have been working bloody hard since the KS campaign. Who would be a game dev in this day and age .. seriously ..
I will not say anymore on the subject , other than to thank FD for what they have created, and hope that people be a bit respectful regardless of the outcome. We do not need another E3 Microsoft / Simcity fiasco doing the rounds, that doesn't do anybody any good.

I'm here because i am invested in the project and care enough about gaming to actually get a stable internet connection.
I recall reading very few if any posts that directly insulted the devs.
Perhaps you should take your own advice on mantras?
