why is'nt there baby animals in animal trading

as the title says
all i see in the trading is adults and sometimes rare color variants but not babies
in real life there has been baby animals in the wild who is poached, orphaned, black marketed and abandoned
i've seen some reserves having baby animals that was saved from those said categories would be nice if the trading had more variety and realism instead of having to wait for babies to be born in the zoo

Actually oprhans etc. wouldn't be traded in RL as well. They are usually nurtured in a rescue or shelter specialized in that species. Even if sometimes zoo keepers care for them, the animal isn't officially placed in the zoo to be kept there, then. For that, authorities still have to decide. So there is actually no baby trading - exception is, when the baby comes with it's mother.

Gameplay wise: I feel almost every species breeds very well anyway and there is not a shortcome in having babies of any species.

zoo tycoon can it also have a mini challenge to nurse them back to health
